Project description

Creating spaces for creativity and impulses

The MachWerk, which opened in 2022, not only gives this work its title, but also provides the essential basis for its content. The Hamburg offices of the impulse company serve as an example of the execution of spatial concepts planned down to the smallest detail and the accompanying embodiment of one’s own brand world. New spaces designed according to the values of a company or the appearance of a brand not only strengthen the bond between employees and customers, they also support the understanding of one’s own brand and offer scope for creative exchange.

This work provides – in addition to the numerous insights into the MachWerk – impulses for the individual design of one’s own company, with a focus on the greening of the premises and the associated creation of a brand experience.

The large-format hardcover appears in the guise of a wooden drawer made of birch wood. Matching the content, this offers the first space that was individually made and thematically underlines it. The typography of the book’s title has been burned into the stained and clearly lacquered wood on both the front and the spine, emphasising the grain of the wood.

The thread-stitched book is laminated with a matt, scratch-resistant foil and features blind embossing on the U1 in the areas of the leaf veins of the cover image. The fir-green coloured endpapers, like the ribbon, perfectly match the design concept.
