Half Speed Remaster with Colour Laser Engraving

For over fifty years, the British progressive rock band YES has been at the forefront of the rock genre, captivating audiences with their unrivalled craftsmanship, complex and multi-layered compositions, technical virtuosity and polyphonic vocal harmonies.

For our client Mercury Studios | Universal Music Group, we produced „Symphonic Live“, an outstanding live collection comprising a total of 14 songs, which has been reissued as a „Half Speed Remaster“. The tracks were recorded live in collaboration with the European Festival Orchestra, conducted by Wilhelm Keitel. This gave the songs from the YES album “Magnification” and four further hits opulent sonic textures and a particularly powerful acoustic impact. The concert was recorded in 2001 at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam.

Coloured Laser Etched Vinyl

This special edition has been produced as a gatefold with an 8mm spine. The cover features a black sticker providing further details about the contents. Inside, there are four printed inner sleeves protecting the four black 12inch vinyl records (180g, heavyweight).

The H-side features a very special detail: here, the album cover artwork has been engraved onto the vinyl record using a full-surface Coloured Laser Etching. Depending on the light and viewing angle, the colours shift, allowing the holographic effect to come into its own even on the black labels. Subtle details and colour shifts that are second to none.

A limited edition that stands out both sonically, thanks to the „Half Speed Remaster“, and visually, thanks to the Coloured Laser Etched Vinyl, and is guaranteed to turn heads.
