Project description

Music that plants trees

With the help of well-known as well as new German speaking musicians radioeins has produced a sustainable physical music album. All proceeds from the sale of the radioeins album will go to a reforestation program of the nature conservation organization „WeForest“ in Zambia and directly support environmental protection.

For the release of „Albaum“ on vinyl record and CD, artists such as Die Ärzte, Seeed, Sophie Hunger, Thees Uhlmann, Beatsteaks and Dota made their most beautiful and partly previously unreleased songs available free of charge.

During the production process, care was taken to ensure that the product features was as environmentally friendly as possible. The two 12inch records were pressed from black 100 % recycled PVC. FSC-certified cardboard or paper was used for the packaging of the CD digifile and the vinyl record wide spined sleeve as well as for the inner sleeves, the booklet and the labels. The unavoidable CO2 emissions generated during production were compensated for by the certified climate compensation from „ClimatePartner“ and made visible to the listener via the „climate neutral label“ on the artwork. The individual products were shipped by the climate neutral service of DHL „GoGreen“.

A music album that can certainly be called more than just musically sustainable!
