Project description

Sustainable release

Only 2.5 years after the release of their album „12“, AnnenMayKantereit (AMK) – together with their new bass player Sophie Chassée – have released their fourth album with „Es ist Abend und wir sitzen bei mir“. Compared to the previous album, the mood is a little less melancholy, with profound, partly homely and hopeful lyrics, which have been combined with danceable rhythms to form rousing compositions in the AMK style. In comparison with „12“, a true new beginning after the pandemic period.

In the meantime, apparently a matter of course for the young German band: during the production of the CD and vinyl record releases, which optimal media was allowed to manufacture, great importance was again attached to a sustainable outfit.

Thus, the vinyl records were produced in two different versions as Re-Vinyl. A pure black version and a colourful version – where every single copy is optically unique – were pressed on two times 140g recycled PVC. Packaged in inner sleeves printed with song lyrics, which find space in a gatefold and were again made entirely from recycled, FSC-certified paper and cardboard.

Analogue to the gatefold, the CD version was produced as a four-sided sleevepac with the 16-page booklet made of recycled, FSC-certified cardboard and paper and completed with a CD. In addition, the unavoidable CO₂ emissions generated during production were offset via ClimatePartner, thereby supporting a certified environmental protection project.

The colourful design, including the band’s cheerful pictures, round off this sustainable product concept and underline AMK’s consistent continuation of environmentally friendly publications.
