Coronavirus - protective measures at optimal media

Company

The global spread of COVID-19 was declared a pandemic by the WHO on 11. March 2020. According to the current status as of 17. March 2020, the risk to the health of the population in Germany is now considered high by the experts of the Robert Koch Institute. This risk varies from region to region.

In order to avoid a possible spread at optimal media and to keep the health and economic effects as low as possible, the following preventive measures are taken:

Employees

In order to protect the employees at optimal media from infection in the best possible way, we always act in accordance to the preventive hygiene measures recommended by the Ministry of Health and the Robert Koch Institute. All employees have been instructed accordingly. Possible personal contact points such as group meetings as well as business trips are reduced to an absolutely necessary minimum.

Business partners

External visits from business partners, suppliers, craftsmen etc. are reduced to a minimum. Internal and external appointments are now realized digitally or, if possible, postponed to a later date. The same preventive measures as for our employees apply to all other visitors to optimal media.

Freight and goods traffic

At optimal media, the receipt and preparation for the dispatch and consignment of goods is carried out with the utmost care, as we have already committed ourselves to the highest standard with the AEO-F certification. This standard requires to act in accordance to the latest guidelines and instructions of the customs authority.

In order to protect the affected group of people for deliveries and dispatch processes, contact with external persons is reduced to the absolute minimum and external goods and goods movements are implemented in a delimited transfer area. The use of  internal facilities is currently prohibited for external service providers.

We are currently observing national and international developments and are guided by the recommendations of the Federal Government. We are in daily contact with customers, suppliers and carriers to reassess the situation and are working on alternative scenarios in case supply chains and production processes are affected by coronavirus.

We are following  the events very closely, adjusting our measures on an ongoing basis and will keep you informed.
