Vinyl records have long been more than just a medium for sound – they are a visual statement. We have expanded our range of Etched Vinyl products, thereby opening up new design possibilities for releases.
A clear highlight is our new Coloured Laser Etched Vinyl. This innovative technology enables multi-coloured, holographic-effect laser engravings directly within the music area of the vinyl record. Light reflections cause visual elements and typography to stand out dynamically depending on the viewing angle, directly linking design with the listening experience.
“With the next generation of our Etched Vinyl, design concepts can combine graphics and sound to achieve maximum visual impact. This turns the vinyl record itself into a stage for design, recognition and sound,” affirms Jörg Hahn, Managing Director of optimal media.

In addition to Coloured Laser Etched Vinyl, the portfolio includes two further technologies: the new Greyscale Laser Etched Vinyl enables photorealistic representations in graduated grey tones. High-precision laser engravings transfer images, graphics and lettering with great depth of detail onto the vinyl record in an unprecedented form. The already established Fluid Etched Vinyl remains an option for clearly defined engravings with a tactile feel.
