London Grammar
Sony Music / Ministry Of Soundoptimal media book with ReVinyl and FSC®-material
More than a decade after the electro-indie-pop trio London Grammar first appeared on the scene, they released their fourth studio album, „The Greatest Love“.
Since the band was formed during their studies in Nottingham, they have gained worldwide fame with more than three million copies sold and two number one albums. Their sound is characterised by an atmospheric, melancholic tone, shaped by minimalist compositions and, above all, by Hannah Reid’s powerful and emotional voice.
After three successful albums, London Grammar have not lost their signature style with their ten new songs, yet they have created a clearer, more atmospheric album that promises vocal intimacy while offering expansive walls of sound. With their previous works, the band has developed from an insider tip to an established name in electronic indie pop.
For London Grammar, we produced, among other things, the „Limited Deluxe Hardcover Book Edition“ of their current album „The Greatest Love“.
This special edition features a hardcover in vinyl record format with two glued-in, swinging vinyl record pockets and a printed CD holder on the U1. A swinging 12inch pocket is located in front of the thread-stitched book block with 24 pages, printed with exclusive band photos and song lyrics. Behind it is a swinging pocket for a 10inch vinyl record, which is fully printed and whose layout continues onto the U3.
The pockets for the vinyl records have a handle hole on the upper side for easier removal. The optimal media book has been laminated with a scratch-resistant matt film that complements the layout of the cover and gives it a special feel.
The band paid attention to more sustainable production for this deluxe version and used only FSC®-certified material from sustainable forestry. The 12inch (140 g) and 10inch vinyl records were both made as ReVinyl in black and consist of 100% recycled PVC from our vinyl record production.
The centred print on the matte black cover gives a first impression of the book’s interior. The singer’s face and an insect are printed there in a frame that depicts them as if in an adjoining room. Fans might suspect a connection to the single House, which heralds London Grammar’s new direction – something frontwoman Hannah Reid confirms with her description of the song’s concept: „House is about drawing boundaries around yourself.“
